Seven people showed up, from four countries. For a first meetup in a city where half the tech scene leaves in August, that is a number worth being honest about rather than dressing up.
What came out of it is more interesting than the count.
A circle, and a node
The Madrid Logos Circle was formed the same night. A Logos node has been running at Noviciado ever since — not a demo left on a laptop, but a machine in the building that stays on.
Marcos walked through what the network is, how to run a node with AI agents helping, and why private communication and payments are worth the trouble for a community that intends to outlast a group chat.
What we learned about the format
Small rooms talk. Seven people around a bar is a conversation; seventy in rows is a broadcast. Both have their place, and we now know which one we are good at when the topic is technical and the audience is building.
The next circle is in September. August in Madrid is not a month for meetups, and pretending otherwise wastes everyone’s evening.
